What is Facial Rejuvenation ?

Facial rejuvenation involves changing the face to a more youthful one. Facial Rejuvenation normally involves various procedures like Blepharoplasty, Face lift,  Fillers and fat transfers, Botox injections.

Fillers

These are various synthetic and semi synthetic products used to rejuvenate the face. These can be permanent or semi permanent. There are various products available in the market each with different product specifications for different circumstances.

Fat Injection

This is a process where in fat is harvested from one part of the body and injected into another part of the body.  It is used  as a filler in different parts of the body. This is a more natural filler than the other filler as ones own tissues are used instead of synthetic or semi synthetic materials.

Botox

Botox is a deravitive  of Boutulinum toxin which temporarily paralysess the muscles it is injected into. This is used to treat wrinkles on the face especially crows feet around the  eyes, frown lines around the glabella, forehead crease lines etc. Its effects are temporary and last for around four to six months.

Chemical peels

These are chemical agents that are sued to peel of the superficial layer of the skin. These are used to rejuvenate the face . Many different formulations are available, each having their own indications

Scar revisions and Dermabrasion

Dermabrasion

Dermabrasion is a technique that is used to to smooth out contour deformities like those caused by acne or trauma. This involves removing of the superficial layers of the skin and then letting the skin to heal secondarily to leave a more  smooth surface. The effects of this procedure are permanent.

Scar revisions

Scar revisions are procedures that are done to make a scar less prominent. Though a scar can never be removed permanently, there are many techhniques in plastic surgery that can improve, hide or mask a scar to a great extent. These scar revisons are generally accompanied by various forms of scar therapy like using ointments, gel sheets compression etc to improve the quality of healing.
